PORT OF NGQURA OPENS FOR BUSINESS MARKING A MILESTONE FOR BAY ECONOMY
The offcial opening of the Port of Ngqura by President Jacob Zuma in March is a milestone achievement for the Nelson Mandela Bay region, and bodes well for the future of the region’s economy. Preparing for great things ahead at the Port of Ngqura were tugmaster, Ryan Jacobs, and second engineer, Cheran Valentine. The tugboats provide one of the most essential support services to the larger vessels by pulling, towing or pushing them in and around the port area.
